A challenge from the sky to the sea (from 2,427 to 0 metres).
El Roque de los Muchachos
From the sky to the sea. From Roque de Los Muchachos to Llanos de Aridane, in what is one of the highest starts of this distance in the world. Sharing the last 28km of the Ultra. A practically downhill route in its entirety. But no one should underestimate this race. Descending so steeply for so many kilometres is no easy feat. A race as physical as it is beautiful that offers wonderful panoramic views of such emblematic spots as La Caldera de Taburiente or the beach of Tazacorte, with the imposing Bejenado peak covered in pine forests as a backdrop.
Athletes must carry the mandatory equipment at all times during the race. You should be prepared for random checks on the course. If you are missing any item you will receive a time penalty and may not be allowed to continue the race.
Attention!!! The start of El Roque takes place in the morning in an altitude of more than 2,400 m, so the weather conditions at that hour and place may be adverse. We recommend take a warm coat that you can leave in your drop bag.
