For the integration of people, "Transvulcania is all of us".

On Saturday, 22nd October at 10:00 am will take place the race for the disabled. Around 150 people from various associations for the disabled on La Palma will take part in this route, starting at the Plaza de Argual and finishing at the Plaza de España in Los Llanos de Aridane.

Next Saturday, 22nd October, one of the most special events of Transvulcania, the race for the disabled, will be back. Around 150 people belonging to various associations of disabled people from La Palma will run through the streets of Los Llanos de Aridane under the motto "Transvulcania somos todos@s" (Transvulcania is all of us).

"It is becoming more and more frequent that mountain races take into account runners with some kind of disability. Sometimes parallel races are organised especially for them. In others, they are integrated as another athlete", say the Padisbalta Association.

"Transvulcania somos todos@s" not only integrates, but also shows society that we are all important, giving people with intellectual disabilities the value and prominence they deserve", they continue.

The event will take place on Saturday 22nd October at 10:00 am. The different Associations will gather at 9:30 in the Argual Square in Los Llanos de Aridane and, half an hour later, they will start the route along Velázquez Street. They will continue along Jeduy Street to reach the Mirador de las Angustias and then take Enrique Mederos Lozano Street until they reach España Square, where they will cross the finish line, which the Ultramarathon, Marathon and Half Marathon runners will cross shortly afterwards.

"Our reward lies in the effort, not in the result. Because a total effort is a complete victory", they conclude.
