The children's races and musical concerts will complete the Transvulcania by UTMB® festival.

Different music groups will liven up the sports days in Playa de Tazacorte and Los Llanos de Aridane. On Friday the Kids/Junior Races will be held, children's races for which registrations are already open.

A real party. This is what the imminent edition of Transvulcania by UTMB® will be like. The prestigious event, which will be held from 20 to 22 October, presents an extensive programme of activities designed for the runners and their companions, but also for all palmeros and palmeras.

La Isla Bonita is in the mood to celebrate. And no wonder. After 85 days, the eruption of the volcano on Cumbre Vieja ceased, and recovery work began, allowing the people of the island to return to an apparent return to normality in record time. Like a phoenix, the island is rising from the ashes and now wants to show the world its strength. And it will do so with its most international sporting event.

Thus, taking advantage of the important media platform and the large number of visitors that the competition brings, the streets will be filled with music to celebrate this twelfth and long-awaited edition of Transvulcania. The first concerts will take place on Thursday evening, when the event kicks off with the Vertical Challenge. From 18h until 20h the Playa de Tazacorte will dance to the rhythm of the Batucada BadaKatum and DJ Jacob Alonso. There will be no lack of percussion on Saturday either. The finish area will again be enlivened by this group that will make everyone dance.

But the party won't end here and will continue throughout the night with different Canarian groups who will be given visibility in front of a very international audience and their faithful followers. At 21h in Los Llanos de Aridane the rock & roll band Tihuya Cats, a regular on the big night of Transvulcania by UTMB®, will start their performance. Cabrito Frito and Los Vándalos will take over at 22h and 23h respectively. The festive day will close with a performance by the young DJ Renzzo Selector.

Haciendo cantera

During the afternoon of Friday 21st, from 5pm in Tijarafe**, the children of the house will be the real protagonists of one of the most awaited editions in the history of Transvulcania. As usual, Transvulcania by UTMB® aims to continue to create a quarry and promote the values of trail running among the youngest runners. For this reason, on Friday afternoon the Kids mode will be held, in which children up to 15 years of age will also be able to enjoy contact with nature while covering different kilometres adapted to their age.

Registrations, which can be formalised through the event's website, will be open until all available places are taken.
